Anxiety
Anxiety is inherent to the human experience.
You may feel anxious before a big social event or a job interview. Perhaps that healthy anxiety motivates you to rise above the challenge and make it safely to the other side. But what happens when anxiety overwhelms us so much that we feel stuck, severely stressed, and even debilitated by it? This is what we consider anxiety that is no longer positively fueling you, and the more it is avoided, the longer it prevents us from being our best selves at work, at home, and in our relationships. One of the most common reasons clients come to therapy is because stress & anxiety levels have grown increasingly difficult to manage amongst today’s fast-paced hustle- and bustle obsessed society. Providing yourself a space where you can verbalize your inner thoughts and worries out loud gives you the time to explore those thoughts looping on repeat in your brain, and the ability to externalize them and increase self-compassion to make that change you want to see.
