Depression
You might become depressed after a major loss—the death of a loved one, a change in careers, or the end of a relationship. Depression might show up seasonally, at certain phases of life, and as we age and grow. Depression can even happen “out of the blue” for no obvious reason at all. Are you feeling helpless, tired, and unmotivated? Have you suddenly lost interest in things or activities that used to bring you joy? Are you lacking direction or questioning your self-worth? If you are undergoing any of these symptoms, you may be suffering from depression. Therapy can help significantly reduce intensity of depression, and help explore and develop coping skills to positively impact emotional regulation.
